He's everywhere
Freezing you up
Making you run

He's in everything
The creak in the dark
The thump you felt
The shadows

He's tall and gaunt
Pale, with beady eyes
Sharp teeth
Or no face at all

He disappears
When light is present
Distractions, people
These frighten him

Everyone has met him
No one has seen him
We all know him well
